As a boy, Wasser would take plants and herbs, dry them and prepare infusions and teas from them. From this early fascination, he completed a Federal Diploma of Botany, went to the Givaudan Perfumery School in Geneva, and by 1994, had become a member of the Firmenich International Fine Fragrance Center. Wasser came up with Guerlain's Iris Ganache and Quand Vient la Pluie for La Maison Guerlain, which proved to be highly successful. This opened the doors for him at Guerlain, where he remains as the company's exclusive perfume designer and one of the world's finest contemporary perfumers.
