With the launching of Quirky.com in June 2009, Kaufman’s worth skyrocketed to millions. He was not expecting that his ideas will take off that quickly. His company has tied up with multimillion dollar companies like Amazon, Target and Bed Bath and Beyond. Whatever invention they have, these companies market their products.
Currently, Kaufman and his team has developed around 354 products and partnered with 188 retailers. His website is powered by 430,000 communities of investors. Kaufman has given the world a different vantage point towards invention and product development. For him, his company is just merely empowering people to take their ideas “from sketch to store”. Based on product sales, the inventor, along with the people who brainstormed on how the product should be named, priced, designed and styled will be receiving royalties.
