The book, a narrative of three young individuals whose main source of financial advice were their mutual barber, is one of the bestselling books by a Canadian author of all time. Since its release, Chilton has sold over 2 million - and counting - copies, an impressive feat considering that it was self-published.
He has since written a sequel, The Wealthy Barber Returns, but he has since ditched the narrative format. Instead, he provided for investment advice in his own voice.
Chilton is also a well-known television personality in North America. He has appeared in The Hour, Dragons' Den, and The Lang and O'Leary Exchange, among others. He has also been awarded the H.L. Gassard Memorial Award.
