The company was founded by Pakistani American, Michael Chowdry, an aerospace enthusiast in 1992. Its first operation was in 1993 with China Airlines as its first customer. The business created as a specialty company for long-term contract outsourcing of their Boeing 747. Today, the business has crew bases, including Huntsville International Airport, Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, John F. Kennedy International Airport, George Bush Intercontinental Airport and the Los Angeles International Airport.
The company name was taken from the Titan in Greek mythology who carried the heavens on his shoulders. This visualization is used by the company as its logo on every plane they have. On the tail of every unit, is their emblem of a golden man carrying a golden world. Together with its sister company, Polar Cargo, the businesses carry freight across the world. Though their destinations may depend on seasonal air cargo trends and customer’s needs, their landing-place is anywhere across Africa, Asia, Latin America, Australia, Europe and in the Pacific.
The company has partnered with several big names in the industry. For instance, in 2009, they have partnered with the U.S. Africa Energy Association (USAEA) as a premium passenger private charter service. This agreement is now known as the “Houston Express” which provides USAEA members a non-stop transportation link for their complex long-term projects in the energy sector in the West African region. This service is not made available to the public. A year after, the company was also awarded a 9-year contract to transport aircraft parts to Boeing from various suppliers around the world.
