With a J.D. earned at Washington University in Saint Louis, Lloyd Schwed joined Miami’s Fowler White in the mid 1980s. Focusing on litigation in the business and commercial spheres, Mr. Schwed achieved shareholder status in 1991. He gained additional litigation and arbitration experience over the years in diverse construction, non-compete, real estate and securities-related areas. Mr. Schwed also has extensive knowledge of appellate matters and in mounting effective defenses in disability insurance claims and accountant malpractice cases.
In addition to his private practice responsibilities, Lloyd Schwed has presented “Identifying and Preventing Securities Fraud” and “Securities and Investment Fraud” seminars to professionals in the Florida legal community. He has also held a past role as University of Miami School of Law Adjunct Professor of Law.
