Nick Cannon started in Hollywood at quite a young age. At 15, he was already doing the rounds at some of the most popular venues where he showed off his musical skills while doing a stand-up comedy act. During his time in the stand-up comedy circuit, he was able to share the stage with comedic greats like Dave Chapelle, Chris Rock, and Chris Tucker. He later on landed a spot on Nickelodeon’s long running comedy show “All That” doing a warm-up stand-up act. He later on became a regular on the show and eventually landed a seat in the show’s writer’s pool. He was only 17 at that time. As his career blossomed, Cannon made several appearances in films such as Drumline and Men in Black II. He also pursued his music career by collaborating with great music legends and releasing a self-titled debut album in 2002. He continued doing comedy, acting in films and on television and recording music for most of his career. In 2009, he founded Ncredible Entertainment, a company which produces television shows, specials and TV movies such as Nickelodeon’s Halo Awards, the MTV reality series Son of A Gun, and the Nickelodeon TV movie The School Gyrls Movie. To top it all off, Cannon also has also been successful in his personal life as husband to Mariah Carey and father to their twins, a boy and a girl.
Although Nick Cannon has experienced all this success, he is also currently going through some setbacks which include health issues. He recently had to quit his morning radio show to take some time off to recuperate as he battles an autoimmune disease that has caused some kidney problems. Despite the health problems he is facing right now, Cannon still remains active as an entertainer and an entrepreneur.
