During its heyday, US Airways operated an extensive domestic and international network of destinations specifically 193 destinations across 24 countries in North America, Europe, South America, and the Middle East. The carrier has 343 mainline jet aircraft and 278 regional turbo-prop and jet aircraft, which were operated by their subsidiary and contract airlines bearing the US Airways Express brand. In fact, 60% of all its flights were handled by the US Airways Express aircraft.
As of October 2013, the carrier had 32,312 employees worldwide. It had over 3,000 daily flights including hourly flights between New York City, Boston, and Washington, D.C.
But US Airways ceased to exist when it was merged with American Airlines in 17 October 2015.
