Will Ferrell founded the web-based company Funny or Die, right after recognizing a gaping hole in the internet industry. Wanting to watch funny videos only, he decided to create YouTube-like website that features comedy-based content and allows users to vote on which ones are truly funny. If they are not, the videos will apparently, die. With Ferrell, operating the entire show, he had no problem getting some of Hollywood’s biggest stars to submit their funny videos, the likes of which include Jerry Seinfield and Lindsay Lohan.
Ferrell’s company became a massive hit and enjoyed millions of viewers in just a few months. The network has since then expanded to Pwn or Die and Shred or Die, both of which succeeded in the online industry as well.
